Overview The Diploma in Islamic Studies (DIS) is a comprehensive, part-time program specifically designed for college students who seek to gain a fundamental understanding of Islam rooted in authentic sources. The program covers 12 subjects distributed across 6 broad courses within the wide-ranging field of Islamic studies. DIS encompasses the essential aspects of Islamic education, including the study of the al-Qur'an and its sciences, al-Hadith and its sciences, Islamic law (fiqh) and jurisprudence (usul al-fiqh), and Arabic Language. Moreover, DIS offers subjects that concentrate on the practical application of Islamic teachings, such as the Prophetic Seerah and his Excellent Manners and the Islamic belief system and worldview.
Upon completing DIS, students will be equipped to approach worldly affairs from an Islamic perspective, uphold moral values, perform religious obligations accurately, and confidently tackle various challenges that may arise in their personal or professional lives, particularly in multicultural workplaces.
